Ukrainian authorities charge five in “Carthage” operation; court jails senior police official
Ukrainian anti-corruption authorities said five participants in a criminal organization uncovered in the “Carthage” operation had been notified of suspicion. The allegations involve serving Security Service and National Police officials allegedly protecting fraud call centres and other illegal businesses. The Higher Anti-Corruption Court ordered senior police official Volodymyr Tsenov held for 60 days, with a 15 million hryvnia bail alternative.
